“Happy Birthday” toast on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Convention, taken during the Intangible Warsaw conference, 16-17th October 2023, organised in the Praga Museum of Warsaw.
For 4 years, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Team has been operating in the capital city of Poland, Warsaw, established at the Culture Department of the municipal government of the city of Warsaw, by the decree of the President of the city.
Under the label INTANGIBLE WARSAW they have prepared reports and movies – all also available in English, and a programme for teachers on ICH in Warsaw. The Warsaw ICH Team supported many activities on ICH in co-operation with local communities.
They also organized the Intangible Warsaw conference on the day of the adoption of the Convention this year (16-17th October 2023) to celebrate this day together with guests from Greece, Finland, Turkey, Belgium and Italy and discuss challenges for the safeguarding of ICH in the urban areas (https://muzeumwarszawy.pl/en/intangible-warsaw/).
