Eligibility Requirements
- The content should be about the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage (documentaries, fiction and experimental films are all eligible);
- The short film is produced or directed by 2003 Convention accredited NGOs (max. one film per NGO. MANDATORY: write the name of the NGO in the submission form);
- The film should be reflecting the spirit of the 2003-convention and target a living tradition or practice through a project;
- It is original in its treatment of a specific project or situation, and effective in clearly communicating the content to capturing the audience’s interest;
- The film submitted must be no longer than 5 minutes;
- The content must be understandable in French and/or English, either through the original audio language or through subtitles (observational films –without speaking– are also possible);
- The copyrights associated with the content of the film must allow it to be presented to the public during the event (free of charge), and later facultatively on the #HeritageAlive website.
The selection committee, made up of #HeritageAlive board members will privilege a diversity of practices and geographical origins.
No financial support is provided for the selection or projection of the short films.
Attach any other relevant documents supporting the originality, the copyrights, and promotion of the film (poster, trailer, etc.).
