A new page provides guidance on UNESCO’s ORF and NGOs

By November 29, 2024No Comments

UNESCO’s Overall Results Framework (ORF) to the 2003 Convention offers a global framework to set the course and goals for everyone working around the Convention.
The ORF can inspire, influence and guide national ICH policies as well as other stakeholders in the Convention, such as NGOs.
NGOs do not only contribute to the goals of the ORF, they can also enrich the periodic reporting by States parties.

A dedicated webpage has been developed within the ICH NGO Forum that will henceforth share information and tools to assist you when working with the ORF and NGOs.

Explore the www.ichngoforum.org/orf/ webpage and its resources now.

To the occasion of the 19.com in 2024, the webpage launches the ‘Information Note: on NGO Contributions and Collaboration in Implementing ORF and in Periodic Reporting by States Parties’
-prepared by the Working Group on Legal and Policy Development-

Furthermore, we look ahead to a Handbook on ORF for NGOs on the webpage.
This handbook is being prepared in 2024-2025 by the Working Group Overall Results framework, with a view to enable NGOs in addressing the ORF and achieving their goals for sustainable development and other objectives.
