The ICH NGO Forum has opened a call for candidates to the 2020 ICH NGO Forum Election Board.
The ICH NGO Forum Election Board is responsible for organizing and overseeing elections for the ICH NGO Forum’s Steering Committee, which take place to the side of the annual sessions of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. The next, 15.COM is to be held in Jamaica from 30 November to 5 December 2020.
The role and composition of the Election Board is defined in Article. 24 of the ICH NGO Forum Bylaws: “The Election Board, preferably composed of seven members (one from each UNESCO electoral group and one from an international NGO), and in any case a minimum of three members, will make a call to accredited NGOs for Steering Committee candidatures, at least 10 weeks prior to each General Assembly of the ICH NGO Forum. The General Assembly of the ICH NGO Forum will nominate members of the Election Board one year prior to the elections. In the absence of this Election Board, a month and a half prior to the date of the Forum General Assembly, the Steering Committee will make a call to all accredited NGOs for candidatures. Members of the Election Board cannot be candidates to the Steering Committee. Each member of the Election Board will serve no longer than three consecutive years.”
In addition, according to Article 20 of the Bylaws, rules and procedures concerning the work of the Election Board “are described in the document ‘ICH NGO Forum Steering Committee: Mission and tasks of the Committee; General profile of members of the Committee and election process’ ”, which is available on the Forum’s website at the following link: www.ichngoforum.org/ich-ngo-forum-steering-committee-rules-procedures/
The primary role of the Election Board is to implement the followings :
- Launch the Steering Committee elections
- The online process for recruitment of candidates
- Submit the profiles of the candidates
- Facilitate the elections at 15.COM

Appel à candidatures pour le Comité électoral 2020 du Forum des ONG du PCI
Le Forum des ONG du PCI a ouvert un appel à candidatures pour le Comité électoral 2020 du Forum des ONG du PCI 2020.
Le Comité électoral du Forum des ONG du PCI est chargé d’organiser et de superviser les élections du Comité directeur du Forum des ONG du PCI, qui se tiennent parallèlement à la session annuelle du Comité intergouvernemental de sauvegarde du patrimoine culturel immatériel. Le prochain 15.COM se tiendra en Jamaïque du 30 novembre au 5 décembre 2020.
Le rôle et la composition du Comité électorale sont définis dans l’article 24 des Statuts du Forum des ONG du PCI:
“Un Comité électoral, de préférence composé de sept membres (un de chaque groupe électoral de l’UNESCO et un d’une ONG internationale), et en tout cas, d’au moins trois membres, lance un appel aux ONG accréditées de présenter des candidatures pour le Comité directeur, au plus tard dix semaines avant l’Assemblée générale du Forum des ONG du PCI.
L’Assemblée générale du Forum des ONG du PCI nomme les membres du Comité électoral un an avant les élections. En l’absence de ce Comité électoral, un mois et demi avant la date de l’Assemblée générale du Forum, le Comité directeur lance un appel à candidatures à toutes les ONG membres du Forum des ONG du PCI. Les membres du Comité électoral ne peuvent pas être candidats au Comité directeur. Chaque membre du Comité électoral ne peut servir plus de trois années consécutives.“
En outre, conformément à l’article 20 des Statuts, les règles et les procédures concernant les travaux du Comité électoral sont décrites dans le document “Comité directeur du Forum des ONG du PCI: Mission et Tâches du Comité; Profil général des membres du Comité et Processus électoral”, qui sont disponible sur le site Web du Forum.
Le rôle principal du Comité électoral est de mettre en œuvre ce qui suit:
- Lancer les élections des membres du Comité directeur du Forum des ONG du PCI
- Faire la procédure en ligne de recrutement de candidats au Comité directeur
- Soumettre les profils des candidats
- Faciliter les élections à 15.COM
