Dear members of the ICH NGO Forum,
The Electoral Board is pleased to present the list of the eligible candidates for the 2019 elections of the Intangible Cultural Heritage NGO Forum Steering Committee, for the following regions: Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. We would like to thank all members for their interest and participation.
We did not receive any applications for the Arab States within the deadline. According to the electoral rules (art.5), in the absence of candidates to represent the Arab States region after the first call, the Electoral Board launches a second call for individuals representing an NGO with headquarters in the Arab States region and NGOs whose main activity is situated in the region, or international NGOs working in that region. Candidates shall submit their application no later than November 18th 2019 (midnight, EDT) in accordance with the electoral rules and guidelines attached. Candidates representing an NGO with headquarters outside the Arab States region will only be elected in the absence of a representative of an NGO with headquarters in the region.
Applications must be sent to all members of the Electoral Board, at the following emails:
ananya@banglanatak.com; hanheeh@jbnu.ac.kr; hanheeh@chonbuk.ac.kr; laurier.turgeon@hst.ulaval.ca) no later than November 18th 2019 (midnight, EDT), using the application form duly completed and signed and attaching a one to two-page curriculum vitae pointing out ICH related experiences.
The ICH NGO Forum will hold elections of the Steering Committee on December 11th 2019 beginning at 6:00 pm. The new members of the Steering Committee will be elected for a term of two years (2019-2021), renewable once, to represent the following regions: Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Arab States. Following the death of Seraphin BOUTE, one member will be elected for a one-year term (2019-2020), renewable once, to represent the region of Africa.
The candidates files (application form and CV) are available on the ICH NGO Forum website: www.ichngoforum.org.
We invite you to examine them in preparation for the elections. We remind you that only ONE candidate can be elected per region, and that candidates, or the alternate candidates, have to be present at the elections in Bogota, Colombia, to be elected.
Candidates will be allotted a 10 minute period to present themselves and their NGOs, as well as the contribution they wish to make to the Steering Committee, during a meeting scheduled with the members of the Forum on Monday December 9th between 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm.

Le Conseil des élections est heureux de présenter la liste des candidats éligibles aux élections 2019 du Comité de pilotage du Forum des ONG en patrimoine culturel immatériel pour les régions suivantes : Afrique, Europe de l’Est, Amérique latine et Caraïbe. Nous souhaitons remercier tous les membres pour leur intérêt et pour leur participation.
Nous n’avons pas reçu de candidatures admissibles des États arabes dans les délais. Selon les règles électorales (art.5), en l’absence de candidat pour représenter la région des États arabes après le premier appel à candidatures, le Conseil des élections lance un deuxième appel à candidatures pour les membres représentant une ONG ayant son siège social dans la région, ainsi que pour les ONG dont la principale activité est située dans la région ou les ONG internationales travaillant dans la région. Les candidats pourront soumettre leur candidature jusqu’au 18 novembre 2019 (minuit, heure de l’Est) au plus tard en suivant les règles électorales en pièce jointe. Ils ne pourront être élus qu’en l’absence de candidat représentant une ONG ayant son siège dans la région.
Les candidatures doivent être envoyées au Conseil des élections aux adresses suivantes : ananya@banglanatak.com ;hanheeh@jbnu.ac.kr ;hanheeh@chonbuk.ac.kr; laurier.turgeon@hst.ulaval.ca, pas plus tard que le 18 novembre 2019 (minuit, heure de l’Est), en utilisant le formulaire de candidature dûment rempli et signé, accompagné d’un curriculum d’une à deux pages démontrant l’expérience acquise dans le domaine du PCI.
Le Forum des ONG-PCI tiendra les élections du Comité de pilotage le 11 décembre 2019.
3 membres du Comité de pilotage seront élus pour un mandat de deux ans (2019-2021), renouvelable une fois, pour représenter les régions suivantes: Amérique latine et Caraïbe, Europe de l’Est, États arabes. Suite au décès de Seraphin BOUTE, un membre sera élu pour un mandat d’un an (2019-2020), renouvelable une fois, pour représenter la région Afrique.

Nous vous invitons à les examiner en prévision des élections. Nous vous rappelons qu’un seul candidat peut être élu par région et que les candidats, ou leur suppléant, devront être présents aux élections à Bogota pour être élus.
Les candidats disposeront d’une période de 10 minutes pour se présenter, ainsi que leur contribution et leurs idées en tant que futur membre du Comité de pilotage lors d’une réunion prévue avec les membres du Forum le lundi 9 décembre entre 19h30 et 21h00.
