ICHCAP’s 2019 Cultural Partnership Initiative (CPI) Program is now open for applications from six young ICH professionals of the Asia-Pacific region. The CPI Program is a five-month residential program from July to November 2019 with an aim to promote bilateral cultural exchanges through Korean cultural experiences and specialized training.
ICHCAP’s CPI Program is focused on building a long-term expert network to share information in the Asia-Pacific region and use the network for safeguarding ICH. ICHCAP plans to enhance communication with domestic and/or international ICH organizations and NGOs to expand opportunities for cooperation through various means that involve participants conducting intensive study, participating in ICH practices, and delivering a mutual exchange for information.
In this context, ICHCAP welcomes the participation of six ICH professionals of the Asia-Pacific region. The six selected participants will have an opportunity to engage in an international cooperation project and carry out an individual research project related to using ICH information and enhancing network building. In addition, the participants will be able to strengthen their capacity through field trips to ICH-related organizations in the Republic of Korea and lectures. Additional programs include cultural workshops and a Korean language course.
